Step into a rewarding contract position dedicated to supporting students through high-quality occupational therapy services. This full-time role covers a 6-8 week assignment beginning in January, offering the opportunity to work directly with a diverse caseload of approximately 50 students at a single K-12 site. Ideal for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll be a valued resource for students in need of your professional expertise and compassionate care.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist or COTA in Michigan
Previous experience in a school setting or with K-12 students preferred
Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families
Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently
Understanding of special education practices and IEP processes
Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEPs
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student participation in classroom activities
Keep thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
Communicate proactively with parents or guardians about therapy plans and progress
Support teams in implementing accommodations, modifications, and interventions to boost student success
